Andrew, who joined FR&R in 1995, specializes in operational, reimbursement, and regulatory issues for businesses including skilled nursing facilities (SNF), continuing care retirement communities (CCRC), assisted living facilities, ambulatory surgical centers (ASC’s), pharmacies, and physician practices and groups. Andrew’s extensive expertise in the healthcare market includes assisting organization’s with repositions, buy-sell agreements, and operational systems analysis for computing profitability within the Medicare prospective payment system (PPS). Andrew also uses his in-depth industry knowledge, analytical problem-solving skills, and management experience to offer for-profit and not-for-profit providers throughout the country, strategic-planning for continued operations, valuation services, as well as turnaround consulting for clients in need of an interim chief financial officer. In addition, Andrew counsels clients on fraud and abuse, regulatory compliance, healthcare accounting and contract negotiations.
Among his accomplishments, Andrew:A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a minor course of study in accountancy. Andrew is a frequent lecturer on reimbursement and regulatory changes, operational management, and profit and loss issues. Andrew, who is a sought-after source for industry publications, has authored several articles for numerous trade magazines and journals. Andrew continues to work with industry leaders to bring his clients the most current operational initiatives available to the continually changing healthcare industry. Andrew is a member of the Board of Directors of a foundation that provides housing and care related programs to indigent persons, and is a professional member of the Illinois CPA Society.
